Comments on possible R-Codes Amendment

Director of Altus Planning & Appeals, Joe Algeri, was recently asked to provide his views on a possible amendment to the R-Codes. The amendment would require multiple dwellings on land zoned R30 and R35 to comply with the same minimum and average lot requirements for single and grouped dwellings rather than use a plot ratio calculation which has been in place since 2010.

… to simply say across the board ‘let’s take out multiple dwellings or revert to the traditional method of calculating the potential yield of multiple dwellings at certain densities’ is a retrograde step, which is not looking to the future but to the past,” Joe told WA Business News.
